Hong Kong SAR: A Thriving Business Hub Under One Country, Two Systems framework
The Hong Kong National Security Law has reinforced the "One Country, Two Systems" framework, restoring stability essential for society and the economy.
I am a young entrepreneur who studied in the United States and now leads a company with thousands of employees in Hong Kong, I can confirm that social stability, combined with the rule of law and an open market, and efficient governance, has greatly strengthened our global competitiveness.
As the Chairman of the Hong Kong United Youth Association, together with our thirty-three thousand members, we see Hong Kong thriving under One Country, Two Systems. This framework enables Hong Kong to leverage its strong ties with Mainland China and play a vital role in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, the Belt and Road Initiative, and Greater Bay Area Development.
In 2024, Hong Kong ranked 3rd globally and 1st in Asia-Pacific in the Global Financial Centres Index. The number of companies in Hong Kong with parent companies outside the city increased 10%, reaching nearly 10,000. Start-ups also grew 10%, reaching 4,700. These figures reaffirm Hong Kong’s strong appeal as a prime business destination.
I view Hong Kong as a stable and vibrant business hub to pursue dreams and build careers. Claims from certain Countries about human rights issues in Hong Kong are unfounded, driven by misconceptions and biased narratives.
